PRISM Live Studio setup

PRISM Live Studio is a good option when you want to stream directly from your phone. You can add your HockeyScore overlay as a web source and control the scoreboard from a second device.

Add the overlay

  1. Open PRISM and go to the main preview screen.
  2. Tap Add (or +) to open the overlay/widget menu.
  3. Choose Web, Web page, or Browser — the option that lets you enter a URL.
  4. Paste your overlay URL and confirm.

Position and size it

  1. Tap the overlay in the preview to select it.
  2. Drag a corner handle to resize.
  3. Drag it to the desired position in the preview.
  4. If PRISM offers a Lock option, enable it so the overlay doesn't move during the game.

Layer order

If the overlay isn't visible, open the Layers or Order list and move the web overlay above the camera layer.

Verify before you go live

  • Check that the scoreboard stays readable as the video behind it changes during play.
  • If possible, check on a second phone to see what viewers will actually see.
  • If text is hard to read, make the overlay larger or move it away from busy areas of the frame.

If something looks wrong

Overlay disappears — Check the layer order. Move the web overlay above the camera layer and confirm the URL is correct.

Overlay is cropped at the edge — Drag it slightly inward. PRISM can clip content at the very edges.

Overlay loads slowly — Wait 10-20 seconds for it to connect. On a weaker connection, the overlay may take a moment to appear.
